Shades of the Australian Sun was the source of our inspiration. Born in the Land Down Under on the East Coast of Oz, we had an idea to create a tantalising tanning range, laced with Australian botanicals, delivering a true Aussie bronzed look with salon quality every time.

WHAT TYPES OF AUSTRALIAN BOTANICALS DO YOU USE?

Our signature blends are packed with a range of incredible botanicals, including:

Kakadu Plum - our most popular ingredient. It has a high concentration of Vitamin C and soothing anti fungal properties. Kakadu plum is great for every skin type, but particularly those with blemish prone skin, as this fruit is high in antioxidants that work to detoxify and flush out toxins.

All of our products are vegan and cruelty free.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE DAWN AND DUSK SHADES?

DAWN - Perfect for paler skin types and beginners, achieve a medium Aussie bronzed look.

DUSK - Perfect for darker skin types and those wanting a deeper bronzed glow.

HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT BEFORE HAVING MY FIRST SHOWER?

Control how deep you want the tan to go. Soap free shower in 30 minutes for a natural glow or 2 to 3+ hours for a richer depth. The tan will continue to deepen for up to 24 hours. To extend your tan use the SHELLCOVE Gradual mousse.

WHAT TYPE OF DHA DO YOU USE?

Our solutions are made with the highest quality 100% Natural DHA.

Derived from organic sugar beets and sugar cane instead of beta-carotene (carrot extract). This guarantees that your tan will be golden brown.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS SUITABLE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN?

Yes, as we only use 100% natural DHA in all of our products it is safe to use on sensitive skin types. We do however recommend always doing a patch test on your skin first.

WILL SHELLCOVE PRODUCTS PROTECT ME FROM THE SUN?

No, our fake tanning range offers no sun protection. Please be sun safe, slip slop slap with an appropriate SPF when exposing your skin to the sun.

HOW MANY DAYS WILL MY SELF TAN LAST FOR?

Typically 5-10 days… The time depends on several factors including skin cycle, lifestyle, Hormonal changes and care. Extend your tan by using the SHELLCOVE Gradual tan.

HOW MANY USES WILL I GET FROM ONE BOTTLE OF SELF TAN FOAM?

On average, you will get 6-10 full body applications out of one bottle of Self tanning Foam.

HOW DO I APPLY THE TANNING FOAM?

Apply to exfoliated, clean skin with our Tanning Mitt. Use circular motions following the curves of your body, Lightly sweep any excess tan from the mitt over the hands and feet.

IS SHELLCOVE TANNING RANGE SAFE TO USE WHEN PREGNANT?

If you’re unsure, it’s always best to double-check with your doctor or doing a patch test 24 hours prior to your service to ensure you don't have any reactions due to an increase of hormones during this time.

Generally self tanning products are safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Our products use 100% natural DHA with no synthetic fragrances.
